First, a quick update.

• I was not in attendance at the September Board meeting, so no summary was posted.

• I attended the October meeting, but there was nothing of note to report from the open portion of the meeting beyond what has already been published in the Splinters.  For those that missed it, click on the top icon labeled “October 2016 Splinters” on this page:  Splinters Archive 

Suspension of Postings

This will probably not come as a surprise.  My meeting summaries and other posts will be suspended until further notice.  As long as I am serving on the Board, it would not be appropriate for me to continue this activity.

Two comments.

• I will not formally join the Board until after the upcoming annual meeting.  At that time, I will volunteer to assist in disseminating information from the Board to the community.  If allowed, I will do my best to ensure as much transparency as possible in terms of the Board’s dealings.  And part of that would be including explanations of all relevant actions and activities in reports from the Board.

• I plan to leave the web site on line and available for possible reference purposes.  I have been running this site for close to five years; and there have been times when I have found it helpful to be able to refer to these pages for historical information.  So, I thought it couldn’t hurt to leave it in place just in case it might prove useful to others for the same reason.
